Disney’s Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre

The Daily Telegraph has confidently stated that Disney’s Aladdin, now showing at the Prince Edward Theatre, has “landed triumphantly” in the West End of London.
Including every song featured in the Disney animated movie, this amazing and spectacular show is everything you could possibly want from a West End show and it has been described as “a shining, shimmering spectacle” by the Huffington Post.
The show is expertly directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (of Book of Mormon fame) with music provided by Alan Menken, the creative mind behind Beauty and the Beast.
With Lyrics from Howard Ashman (also of Beauty and the Beast), Tim Rice (of the Lion King the Movie) and Chad Beguelin, who wrote Disney’s Aladdin, the book.
Matthew Croke plays the title role, with Jade Ewen taking the role of Jasmine, the Sultan’s daughter. The central part of the playful Genie of the lamp is played by Broadway’s Trevor Dion, making his West End debut.
The dazzling array of wonderful theatre songs are brought to life via the live orchestra and each scene is captivating in its own way, thanks to the hundreds of amazing costumes and breathtaking sets. The Evening Standard calls it “Sheer Genie-us”!
