There are a number of fantastic FREE museums in South Kensington, which is one of the many reasons people flock to the area every year. And when we say fantastic, we mean it – you have the Science Museum (Great interactive fun for the kids), the Natural History Museum (known the world over) and the V&A Museum, which showcases the world of art and design through the ages.
It’s also a great area for shopping, as you’ll find the full range of major retail outlets, like Whole Foods, Harrods and Peter Jones, the store owned by the famous TV dragon. That’s not all, as Kensington Palace houses a cavalcade of historical artefacts and decor from the Victorian era and the Memorial Playground, dedicated to Diana, Princess of Wales is just around the corner in Kensington Gardens.
